Nigerian music sensation , Ayodeji Balogun popularly known Wizkid as won the award for the Best African Act at the recently concluded BET Awards.This was a tie with Ghanaian rapper, Sarkodie who carted the same award. Other nominees were,Iceprince, Lira from South Africa, Malian rapper,Makobe, and Kenyan RnB group,Campmulla from Kenya.
The show was held The Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles, California, USA. It was hosted by veteran Hollywood actor, Samuel L Jackson. Wizkid showed his appreciation by tweeting"Thankful"
