Usher Is Not Dead, Despite Internet Hoax

Usher is alive and well. What do Usher, Jackie Chan, and Luke Perry have in common? They have all been the victim of an Internet death hoax. The R&B singer is the latest to "die" via an untrue online report. On Tuesday, a Global Associated News article broke the "news" that the 33-year-old perished in a car accident near his native Atlanta — and even included a photo of an overturned car. According to the article, Usher "was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics" after he rolled his friend's car while speeding at 95 miles per hour down Georgia's Interstate 80. Worse yet, GAN reported that the crash was so gruesome, Usher's funeral was going to be closed casket due to his head trauma. Nice, right?

But don't worry, Usher fans. The "OMG" singer is alive — and very well judging from the shirtless photo he posted on Twitter to prove he's not dead. "I must've died and went to heaven," he tweeted. "Alive and cold kickin ass!!" In a follow-up tweet, Usher added a pic of him flexing his muscles with the comment, "Never scared, never dead."
Usher's career is very much alive, too. The same day of the death hoax it was revealed that he and his protégé, Justin Bieber, have recorded two duets, one for each of their upcoming albums. Bieber is releasing "Believe" this summer, while Usher is getting ready to drop "Looking For Myself" in June.
With a body like that, surely Usher has plenty of volunteers who would be willing to help him.
