Before he moved to Lagos in 2011 to work on his dream of becoming a well
known and established performing artiste in Nigeria, some of the singles of the
‘TOO MUCH MUSIC’ signed artiste made
it as “Songs of the Week” more than thrice at Rhythm 93.7 FM and as No. 1 song
in the Top 20 chart on Peace FM Jos. He
has performed in many shows, concerts and events including Rhythm Unplugged. M
SMOOTH has worked with Mode 9, “OD” (Overdose), Zdon Paporrella, Dj Jimmy Jatt,
Lowkeyz, Terry the Rapman, Godwon, Ikechukwu (Killz), etc. In the near future,
he hopes to work with the likes of 2Face, Davido, Alicia Keys, Drake and
Beyonce.
His musical influences include Maxwell, Stevie Wonder, BoyzIIMen,
D’Angelo, Take 6, Brian McKnight. Getting an early start as a dancer at age six
and then decided to sing and consequently joined an accapella group called
Gospel Ministers for Christ (GMC) and from there to another group called The Mabitine’s
before eventually going solo. M Smooth was a winner of Konga Hidden Talent,
2000 and the MTN Project Fame competition (Northern Zone), 2009.
M Smooth is a body builder and enjoys listening to, writing music and
dancing.
He currently just returned from South
Africa where he went to shoot 3 videos” and also performed at the African DJ
Awards that took place in Johannesburg South Africa in July, 2013, He’s also
billed to perform at the 2 Kings Concert (headlining Femi Kuti and Tuface
Idibia), holding in Lagos Nigeria in August, 2013 and the Nigerian
Entertainment Awards (NEA) holding in New York, USA in September, 2013, among
