The Oscar-winning actress – who will be 40 in a couple of weeks – beat a string of younger stars and celebrities to the title, including the Duchess of Cambridge.The secret of the mother of two’s success, according to her stylist, is that old maxim that less is more.

Just behind Miss Paltrow in People magazine’s annual list of sartorial stars was the Duchess.
Further down the top ten were Hollywood actresses Emma Stone, 23, and Jessica Alba, 31, pop star Rihanna, 24, and Australian supermodel Miranda Kerr, 29.
