Lauryn Hill released arguably one of the best RnB albums ever made with her debut solo record The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill in 1998.
And although the 37-year-old singer has been in and out of the spotlight over the years, she is still held in high esteem in the music industry.
But it appears that she is ready to encourage her children's musical efforts and brought them on to the stage with her recently although it did not all go according to plan.

With their gene pool consisting of Lauryn and their father Rohan Marley, son of the late reggae icon Bob Marley, there is no denying that they would be a talented bunch.
Lauryn has five children with Rohan; Zion, 14, Selah Louise, 13, Joshua Omaru, 10, John Nesta, nine, and four-year-old Sarah.
She is also mother to an 11-month-old boy by another man. At the time Rohan tweeted: 'I'm forwarding all well wishes to Ms. Hill on the birth of her new son. I'm sure she'll appreciate the love being sent to her.'

During a performance at the Highline Ballroom in New York City recently, it appears the spotlight got too much for one of her little boys.
He forgot the words to his song and started crying on stage as his siblings tried to make him feel better.
Lauryn tried persuade him to take the mic back, but he couldn't seem to get over it and she was seen moments later bending down to help console the youngster as the backup singers continued to sing.
The proud mother shared mostly the adorable moment with the intimate crowd as her elder children took individual moments to show off their rapping skills to the audience.

Each child got the chance to take the mic and the crowd encouraged them with lots of cheers and applause.
One of Lauryn's children also appeared to have a cast on his arm, while her little daughter did a great job of singing herself.
Lauryn is maybe trying to brighten the children's spirits after she completely split with their father last year after more than 10 years together.
The 39-year-old is now engaged to supermodel Isabeli Fontana despite only a short courtship.
The former Sports Illustrated and Victoria's Secret beauty started dating Rohan last October.

'Rohan told me we have to return to the roots so the marriage will last forever,' she told the publication.
Rohan, who runs the Marley Coffee company, met Isabeli shortly after he separated from Lauryn last year following the revelation that she was expecting a child with another man.
Isabeli's mother Maribel, has admitted concerns about the wedding plans.

It has also been claimed the couple 'see each other very little' because Isabeli continues to live in Sao Paulo, Brazil while Rohan lives in New York.
Rohan was previously married to Geraldine Khawly before getting together with Lauryn.
Meanwhile, their teen daughter Selah is set to take the modelling world by storm and recently posed for a series of test shots which were leaked online.
