Five arraigned for assault with faeces

Oh wonders!!!!Five person were arraigned to Ikorodu Magistrate court on Monday for allegedly pouring faeces on three persons,the Defendants re Joke Usanni, 40:Monday Joseph, 24: Ajetumobi Aminat 25: Friday Ogunji, 32 and Bakare Lukan,21.

However they pleaded guilty to a six-court charge of conspiracy,assault nd breach of peace(if u no reach court u no go hear some offence name),the Prosecutor, Fola Takunbe said the accused Abioye Adeola, Abioye Adekanbi and Ologbenla Adepoju, by pouring faeces on them.

The accused, he also said, assaulted two police officers, Augustine Olatunde and Tibiebi Johnson, while they were performing their lawful duties.

Takunbe said the accused conducted themselves in a manner likely to cause breach of public peace.

Magistrate Ademola Adesanya granted the defendants bail in the sum of N100,000 each with two sureties in like sum.

He adjourned the case until May 5.

Meanwhile, an Ikorodu Magistrates’ Court in Lagos, on Monday, issued a warrant of arrest on two defendants and their sureties over their non-appearance in court.

Adesanya said the warrant was issued on the  defendants and their sureties based on their absence in court.

“The court cannot wait for the defendants but the defendants ought to wait for the court; a bench warrant is hereby ordered against the defendants and their sureties,” Adesanya said.
